We're all about our volunteers!
HRPS started in 1997 with some people interested in Reno's history—and we have been an all-volunteer group ever since. We exist and accomplish so much because of the commitment of more than 150 volunteers annually.
There's always room for more volunteers!
HRPS has volunteer opportunities to meet all needs and interest levels:
- Occasional time? Volunteers are especially needed for events such as the Reno Harvest of Homes Tour every fall or to welcome people at our summer walking tours.
- Ready to make a big commitment? We're always happy to talk to people about becoming new tour leaders, writing well-researched articles for FootPrints, to advocate for preservation and to provide specific skills in public relations, law, finance, etc.
After 19 years, HRPS keeps expanding the scope of our work. We need volunteers more than ever!
